The starting point for this renovation was a charming single-story bungalow in a bustling neighborhood—but the family of four had outgrown 2 bedrooms and a single bath.  Staying true to the Craftsman exterior, we lifted the entire house and inserted a new high-ceilinged ground floor, comprised of a home office, kitchen, and great room that flows into the backyard. Cabinetry, built-ins, and decorative trim were all carefully detailed.  The project was published in Better Homes and Gardens and was recognized by the Berkeley Architectural Heritage Association.
